The hospitals committee of BARNSLEY Corporation recommends the purchase of a new ambulance.
The highways committee of WEST BIDING County Council has passed an estimate of £1,150 for the purchase of two 2-ton lorries.
SOUTHEND Corporation has adopted proposals for seeking power to purchase motorbuses at a cost of 133,000, and to extend trolley-bus services at a cost of £120,000.
The highways committee of PAIGNTON Urban District Council recommends acceptance of the tender of Barford and Perkins, Ltd., for the supply of a 6-ton motor roller, at a cost of £655.
The tramways committee of EXETER Corporation invites tenders for the supply of about 50,000 gallons of commercial-grade fuel, to be delivered between April 1st next and March 31st, 1931, in 1,000-gallon lots. Tenders have to be delivered to the chairman oi the tramways committee, at the tramways offices, Heavitree Road, Exeter, on or before February 12th. It is understood that , the WEST Moxmourn Joint Omnibus'Board will shortly require new buses.

MARYLEBONE Borough Council recommends the purchase of six lorries for refuse collection at about 1800 each.
STEPNEY Borough Council is buying three Garner dustless refuse-collecting vehicles, equipped with hydraulic endtipping gear, for the sum of 11,920. The council already runs a number of vehicles of this make.
BEDWELLTY Urban District Council is to transfer the present fire-engine from Aberbargoed to Blackwood. For Aberhargoed a new fire-engine is to be purchased, at an estimated cost of £1,000; Blackwood is to be provided with a new fire-engine, as well as a trailer pump for the present machine. The engine is to cost £1,000 and the trailer pump £400. At a future date a new fire-engine for each centre will also be purchased.
