• Pressure group Farmers for Action is warning that it is to begin blockading dairy processIng plants and supermarket depots over low milk prices.
In a statement it says it plans "nationwide disruption of milk supplies" because dairy companies have not passed a 2p/litre increase in supermar ket milk prices back to farmers.
Speaking to CM's sister title, Farmers Weekly, Farmers for Action leader David Handley said that initially only a handful of depots would be visited. "This will be a taste in August of what will happen big time unless we see a significant price rise for October."
