lahere are some sights guaranteed to make the Hawk go weak at the knees and this beautifully restored half ton 4*Morris R series is one of them. This former

Covent Garden fruit and veg truck was found abandoned in Ramsey by its present owner Keir Williams of Rowlands Castle, Hampshire.

Keir renovated it himself and though the log book has the truck registered in 1927, there are certain features—the narrow air-flow louvres which are wider on production models—which lead him to believe that it is a prototype of the truck which did not go into production until two years later. Keir is a member of the West Sussex Local Locomotion club.

He has owned the truck for 12 years and loves nothing better than taking it around the countryside to rallies. Good on you Keirt A man after my own heart.
