Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

"approval" when used to describe non-factory-fitted equipment for Ford chassis, TIM BLAKEMORE reports.

I8CT Equipment for example (CM July 24) does not have specific "Ford approval" for its Dumpit underbody tipping gear as fitted to the P100 pick-up but this does not mean that Ford in any way disapproves of the equipment or that the vehicle manufacturer's warranty is at all affected by its fitment. Indeed, the package has been offered to the Ford dealers, with Ford's knowledge and blessing.

Like many of the larger manufacturers, Ford does not approve individual pieces of equipment except in exceptional circumstances. However there is a "Ford Code" (Ford terminology) for approved bodybuilders, and BCT holds Ford Code.
