DETAILED examination of the question whether drivers should be regularly medically examined is to be given by the British Transport Commission and the Municipal Passenger Transport Association. This will he done in response to requests by the Road Safety Conference of Organizations, the report of which was published last week.
It is also stated that the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders are preparing a new standard regarding forward driving visibility, and have made recommendations on front lighting of vehicles.
The Conference advise that employers issue copies of the "Highway Code" to their drivers.
