Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

FORD DEMONSTRATED the longevity of its vans at the CV Show by exhibiting an eight-yearold Ford Connect with more than 220,000 miles on the clock.

According to the service history through dealer M53 Ford at Birkenhead and Ellesmere Port, the only thing the Connect T200 1.8 TDCi has had changed in that time is the alternator.

The van is still being used by Deeside engineering irm DRB Power Transmission. Transport manager Richard Wheatley says DRB has always bought Ford vehicles. “We have tried other marques, but they’ve never come up to the same standards.

“When the Ford Transit Connect came out, it was ideal: the right capacity for the loads we carry, sturdy and also the right size for getting into the tighter places we work in,” he says.

Wheatley says the service from the dealerships is second to none.

“They follow the regular service schedule but also look for other required work – they go one step further.

“It may sound more expensive if they’re inding extra ixes, but it means the van is off the road only once, which, in the long run, saves time and money,” he says.
