NATIONAL Freight Corporation chairman Sir Dan Pettit is not at all happy with Government proposals to return Freightliners to British Rail.
Speaking in London this week he said that NFC will continue to object to its return.
Freightliners has been an NFC company for 10 years and Sir Dan pointed out that many of its employees had not known another master.
They would find readjustment to the British Rail style of working difficult, he said.
Sir Dan said of Freightliners' business potential that it was vulnerable to outside forces. Strikes at home and abroad adversely affected what was a capital intensive industry.
