Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

cwt., 10 cwt. or 1-ton van when averaging 500 miles a week both with and without a driver's wages?

AAllowing for basic driver's wages of

£12 4s. 3d. a week the total operating cost per mile for each of these three vans is 5 cwt., 11.26d. ; 10 cwt., 12.42d.; and 1-ton, 14.11d.

With the deduction of driver's wages from the costs the equivalent deduction in operating costs per mile (still assuming an average of 500 miles a week) would be 5.86d. a mile from these figures.
