• Fruehauf Europe is planning to standardise on anti-lock braking equipment in preparation for changes in braking requirements affecting trailers and semi-trailers on or after 1 October 1991.
Crane Fruehauf already fits Girling Skidchek as standard while Wabco ABS is believed to be the preference on the Continent. Fruehauf corporate affairs director Graham Thompson says: We have a continual policy of component evaluation and any decision to change braking equipment is at least 12 months away".
