REGULATIONS come into operation on October 1 giving limited exemption from hgv driving licence regulation for drivers of "playbuses". These are buses from which the seats have been removed and replaced by play equipment.
When the vehicle is being . driven without passengers and not in the course of a trade or business to or from a place where it is to be used by children at play or to or from a place where it is to be repaired to tested, the driver may drive on an ordinary Group 4 driving licence issued under Part Ill of the Road Traffic Act 1972.
