Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CLYDE vehicle ferries may soon be involved in a new regular trade carrying large road tankers loaded 'with liquid natural gas to Rothesay and Dunoon. The contract has not yet been agreed, but it is understood to involve transporting each week two or three 32-ton tankers to Rothesay, beginning next month when natural gas is introduced.

About six tankers a week now travel by road to Dunoon and it is hoped that these could be switched to the 15-minute journey from Gourock. Tankers of this size, however, would be unable to travel by road to Rothesay because there is a weight restriction on part of the route near Colintraive.

Caledonian Mactirayne was asked to Iciok into the matter and a proving run was made by the car ferry Jupiter from Gourock to Rothesay, carrying one of the tankers. Mr John Whittle, general manager said: "There are minor problems, but we now know exactly what they are and how to overcome them."
