ASPECIAL effort to keep buses running more regularly, despite increased congestion, is continuing to succeed, London Transport announced last week. Since the end of fuel rationing, bus mileage lost through traffic congestion had been well under half the 1956 level, mainly because of the new bus-running control, police work in central areas and the efforts of bus crews.
