RECRUITMENT of ownerdrivers to the British Association of Owner-Drivers has meant the setting up of two new localised associations.
Already a South Yorkshire ODA has been formed with 17 members. Chairman is R. Ward and he can be contacted on Sheffield 886332. Secretary is Jerry Parker, telephone Sheffield 884584.
And in West Sussex another new association is due to be formed on Sunday (October 29) at a meeting at the Bush Inn, Hornet, Chichester at 10am. The man to contact is Derrick Shepherd on Chichester 527773.
Talks are going on aimed at the formation of a freight office to serve the association and the new chairman is Charles Williams, telephone Lutterworth 2997.
