Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALTHOUGH there is an official proposal to Increase the permitted length of artics in the UK to 15 metres (49ft 2.6in.) there have been pleas for this to be raised to 15.25 metres "to allow 40ft containers to be carried", on the basis that this would not be possible within 15m.

At the Genoa International Container Trade Show, Viberti has shown that this is not necessary; the company has been exhibiting a skeletal semi-trailer which, when coupled to a Fiat 683T tractive unit, can carry a 40ft container within 15m.

The outfit was developed In conjunction with Fiat and an interesting aspect is that the semitrailer has a Dyson tandem-axle bogie with Aeroride air suspension. Dyson and Viberti have a co-operation agreement, and Viberti states that when slight amendments have been made to Italian legislation it will make Dyson suspensions under licence.
