SCAMMELLS FOR GUINNESS: Two Seamme11 Highwayman tractive units and four 26-ft. tandem axle semi-trailers have been supplied to Guinness Transport Ltd. Special bodywork for the semi-trailers was built by Cravens Homalloy Ltd. at their Rochford, Essex, works.

MORE GIANT REGENTS FOR HONG KONG: The Kowloon Motor Bus Co. (1933) Ltd.. which introduced 115-passenger A.E.C. double-deckers into its fleet in 1962, and now has MOr8 than 100 examples in regular sersice, ha.s ordered a further 100. Basis of the large capacity buses is an extended (21 fr. 6 in.) wheelbase Regent V chassis with the AV690 die sel. engine, semi-automatic transmission, and twin-cirauil air brakes.

£860,000 OF A.E.C. ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS: A.E.C. Ltd. announced orders worth £860,000 for power and transmission units on the opening day of the Public Works and Municipal Services exhibition in London, last week. One of the largest was from Vanajan Autohedas Oy., one of Finland's largest builders of goods and passenger chassis, which has ordered 250 AV470 and 160 AV690 engines.

A.E.C. GEARBOXES FOR BIG J: Guy Motors (European) Ltd. has ordered '1.250 heavy-duty, six-speed, overdrive MIR font-mesh gearboxes for hs recently inuoduced Big I range of goods chassis.

. . . AND ENGINES FOR SEDDON : A.E.C. units have also been specified by Seddon Diesel Vehicles Ltd. which has ordered 400 engines in the 138-192 b.h.p. range. together with various transmissions.

DM. ORDERS FOR GUYS: Guys Motors (Europe) Ltd. has received orders for goods and passenger chassis to the value of more than f3m. during the past six months. More than £700,000 worth are the Big .1 range.

• . . AND EIM. FOR DAIMLERS: During the same period, Transport Vehicles (Daimler) Ltd. has received orders worth more than +Am.for passenger chassis. Orders not already announced in The Commercial Motor include London Transport (eight Fleet lines—confirmation of number ordered): West Bromwich, seven CVG6.30 double deckers : Rotherham Corporation, 10 CVG6.30 double-deckers; Cape Tramways Ltd., 15 CVG6.30 double-deckers; and Birmingham City Transport, 24 Fleetlines (to be fitted with single-deck bodies).
