„,COTI.AND is to have six Lorry Driver of the Year eliminating centres next year. At a meeting last week in Edinburgh. the organizing committee of the Scottish round decided to arrange for eliminators to be held covering all parts of the country. There will be a centre at Aberdeen, covering the north of Scotland; others Will cover Dundee and Angus; Perthshire, Fife, Stirling and Kinross: Edinburgh and south east Scotland; Glasgow; and south west and Southern Scotland.
The Scottish organizers have agreed to set up committees for each round and interested parties should contact the secretary, Mr. J. 0. Hastie, who is secretary of the T,R.T.A. in Scotland at 43 York Place, Edinburgh 1.
he Commercial . Motor understands that Mr. K. J. Sinnet, general manager of B.M.C. tSeotland) Ltd., has been invited to be the chairman of the organizing committee. (Last year's chairman, Mr. W. F. Quin, the Scottish Licensing Authority, is to retire shortly.)
