Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

18.seater Coach. 25-cwt. Tilt Vans with MarIes Steering.

STAND No. 124.

VISITORS to Olympia are always interested in vehicles shown in this building for the first time, and the three L.V.L. complete vehicles exhibited are receiving their full meed of attention.

They comprise a handsome 18-seater coach on N.A..P: tyres and two boardedtilt vans, each built to carry 25 cwt. It will be remembered that the L.V.L. chassis was introduced towards the end

of last year. It is of very neat and strong design, embodying a 20 11-13. Dorman engine, a four-spee.d gearbox built as a separate unit, and a drive through a cardan shaft with Hardy disc joints to an overhead warm carried in a. pot-type axle. There are also two Hardy joints between the clutch and gearbox.

The engine and gearbox are mounted direct. in the frame, which is constructed of rolled channel steel. Both brakes take effect on the rear wheels. The chief interest in timid lies in the fact that they are of the four-shoe type, internal-expanding, and anis they avoid the necessity for a very wide drum.

A feature of the engine is the single.. halt drive to the fan and water impeller, each of which has a separate pulley; driven from the one pulley on the crankshaft.

An unusual feature to find in connection with 'acommercial vehicle is the Merles steering gear, whicht it will be remembered, consists of specially shaped cams giving the most complete control and avoiding all backlash.

Both of the vans are also fitted with N:A.P, cushion tyres, and all three vehicles are equipped with electric lightting, two sets being of Botax make and that on the coach being a O.A.V. production.
