• The transport operation of fashion retailer New Look has taken delivery of eight new garment trailers on a five-year lease from TIP.
The new Montracon 13.6m triaxle semis form part of the first artics in New Look's fleet.
Complementing the firm's existing drawbars, they will primarily be used on a trunking operation between New Look's headquarters in Weymouth and its northern distribution centre in Doncaster.
The internal sidewails of the trailers incorporate an aluminium honeycomb design which allows garment poles to be stretched across the trailer in any combination. Each unit can carry up to 12,000 hanging garments or a combination of hanging and boxed goods. They also feature non-slip floors and internal diamond lights.
The five-year lease includes all maintenance, which will be carried out at New Look's Weymouth site, and Roadside, TIP's 24-hour trailer recovery service.
