• Outstanding orders from overseas markets for Land-Rovers are 120 per cent up on the figure at the end of June last year, the Rover Company announced this week.
In the 37 weeks of the company's current financial year more than 37,000 Land-Rovers have been produced, nearly 4,000 up on the corresponding period last year.
Since the Land-Rover was introduced in 1948 more than 644,000 units have been sold, of which over 70 per cent have gone to over 170 markets of the world. This year the export content has risen to 80 per cent.
