• A new commercial vehicle test and servicing centre to be opened in Salisbury next month is claimed to be better equipped than any similar facility in Wiltshire. Almost £20,000 worth of up-to-date diagnostic, test and other equipment has been installed by Duckfreld Commercials Ltd. at the new centre which is located at Scamell's Road, Salisbury. The 16,300 sq.ft. workshop includes a test bay based on those at MoT test stations and on which an operator can pre-test his vehicles.
Duckfield Commercials Ltd. has been established at Westbury. Wilts, for a number of years and is now in the Bath and Portland Group. The company states that if a vehicle prepared for the 1VioT test fails, the fault will be put right and the vehicle retested at its own expense.
