Commercial Motor regrets to record the death. on June 17 after a short illness, of H. F. Button, 89, who was for 43 years head of the art department of Temple Press Ltd. Mr. Button joined the company in 1904, retiring in 1947. Closely associated with the early days of the motor and cycle trades, he cooperated in the original design of many trade marks that became famous in industry, for example that of Leyland which was still in use until recent years.
