The building has a portal Castella steel frame on piled and beamed foundations. Six 5,000-gal. fuel tanks are provided at ,high level. They have four metering columns and remotecontrol gauges, supplied by the Wayne Tank and Pump Co., Ltd., Bracknell. LINCOLN BUS PROBLEMS TO BE EXAMINED

ASPECIAL meeting of Lincoln Finance Committee is to be called shortly to discuss the position of the city's

transport department. This assurance was given last week to the city council after they had heard a report from the general manager, Mr. H. Jones.

Cllr. W. J. Bell said that with an accumulated deficit of £50,000 and further losses still taking place, the council would have to take some action. They might consider the reintroduction of workers' weekly tickets, off-peak shopping tickets and cheap returns for uphill and downhill journeys.

In his report. Mr. Jones said traffic was still declining, and the only remedy was a fare increase—but this would be followed_ by immediate passenger resist ance. with a further loss of revenue. .
