ahe Thornycroft Foundation recently celebrated its anniversary in Basingstoke, that Mecca of Southern England, by taking part in the town's Festival of Transport. (Another one for your diaries, all you truckies out there). Help came from Econ Transport of Ripon, North Yorkshire which agreed to transport a valuable piece of kit to the festival in the shape of a tank carrying vehicle, The Mighty Antar, faithfully restored by one Mr John Rigby. Sounds like great fun—sandwiches packed and Thermos in hand the bY the Hawk Hawk will be there next year.
