A SENIOR academic has been appointed management development manager with the Road Transport Industry Training Board. Dr Mary Benwell, who has been teaching and researching various aspects of transport at the Cranfield Institute of Technology since 1976, takes up her new appointment on August 8.
For the past two years Dr Benwell has been a reader in social aspects of transport. She has been engaged in both applied research and direct training in the transport industry, including international work. Also, while at Cranfield, she has taught on Master of Science courses in transport forecasting, rural transport, cost-benefit analysis and project management.
