This strikes me as a very curious state of affairs as hgv drivers, and hence their employers, stand to gain more than anyone if CB is legalised.

A survey conducted in the USA found that CB operators made fuel savings of between 5 and 8 per cent by avoiding traffic holdups, and obtaining local directions in unknown towns, So it would appear that with CB we could comply with the Government's wish for fuel cutbacks without actually losing any work — a nice thought.

Anyone who is interested should contact the UKCBC, 32 Downbank Avenue, Barnehurst, Kent, or for transport related queries, to me.
