P & L TRANSPORT has been given permission to base two vehicles as well as two trailers at its facility in Stowmarket, Suffolk, subject to the following conditions outlined at a public inquiry: ● Rolling road brake test for vehicles and trailers every four months; ● All authorised vehicles will have a thorough preMOT inspection; ● All tachograph records will be independently analysed; ● Maintenance systems, maintenance documentation and vehicle inspections will be audited by an independent trade body; ● Safety inspections will be pre-planned and never more than six weeks apart for vehicles and 12 weeks for trailers; ● There will be a nil-defect daily driver-reporting system put in place.
