Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IT WAS A rather gloomy report to read that seven haulage businesses went into liquidation in December (CM 6 January). Bad weather and rising fuel duty have been bad news for irms and most of these businesses were based in the north. I wonder if hauliers are being hit harder there?

Part of my job is to try and help struggling businesses using a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) tool. With up and coming fuel duty rises, I expect this to become a much debated topic as more irms try to avoid liquidation. I think CVAs may get increasingly popular.
