Return to my office at Mossend in Motherwell and catch up with correspondence. Approve safety article for next edition of TDG's internal magazine The Juggler. Chase progress on Driver of the Year Competition and review possible venue requirements. Chair a meeting with our senior regional fleet engineers to discuss next year's maintenance audit programme. The aim is to ensure that our vehicle fleet, administrative and maintenance systems and internal and external maintenance suppliers meet acceptable standards. The meeting also includes assessment of our "Circle Checks" procedure that involves a visual inspection of the vehicle by all our drivers before the start of each shift.
