• Glagow Corporation municipal transport committee will oppose the Government proposals for the establishment of a Passenger Transport Authority to serve the Greater Glasgow region. The committee accepts the need for co-ordination of all transport undertakings within that area but rejects the plans which, it is said, would mean that the largest passenger undertaking in the area—the Corporation of Glasgow—would have a minority voice in the operation of any system which was decided on.
