Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Mr Fred Mulley, Minister of Transport, yesterday laid before Parliament the Road Vehicles Lighting (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1970 which require certain long vehicles to be fitted with amber side-facing reflectors.

The Regulations require most motor vehicles over 8 metres (about 26ft) long and trailers over 5 metres (about 16ft) long to be fitted with two reflectors on each side, one at the rear and the other in the centre. They apply to new vehicles first used from October I 1970 and to existing vehicles from January! 1971.

Copies of the Road Vehicles Lighting (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 1970 (SI No. 233) can be obtained, price Is, from HMSO or through any bookseller.
