• A 60 mph motorway speed limit for goods vehicles over 3 tons unladen, a 50 mph limit on all roads for cars and light vehicles towing trailers and caravans and a warning of other regulations making changes to speed limits and associated rules for the safer use of certain trailer combinations were announced in the Commons this we* by MoT Parliamentary Secretary Bob Brown. He could not give operating dates, but interested organizations would be consulted.
