• ERF has a made a minor revision to the driveline of its 16-tonner range with the adoption of the 330mm single-plate Lipe ceramic clutch which now becomes standard on all E6 rigids.
The recently-launched Lipe 330 clutch, which is suitable for applications ranging between 305-644Nrn (225-475 lb ft), is available with either three or four paddle ceramic discs, or non-asbestos full-faced discs.
It has a stronger dampener section, increased diameter springs, and has been chosen for its reduced weight. The 350mm Spicer clutch will, however, remain as an option. The fitting of the Lipe clutch does not affect the chassis price of the ERF E6 according to the vehicle manufacturers.
