According to Mr Day, rec operational studies carried by Initial have confirmed thE there were an electric veh available with only marginal proved performance, some Initial vehicles in the compar fleet could be replaced electric power.
To extend the use of elec vehicles in its fleet the Initial quirements as put forward by Day are: a daily range 65/80km (40/50 miles); imprc traffic compatibility (eg accelE tion); minimum payload 1,420kg (1.4 tons); top speec 46/55kmh (28/35 mph).
