MOSCOW plans to convert 35,000 lorries, buses and cars to gas — according to the Novosti press agency.
The city council, it says, subsidizes public transport at the expense of profits obtained by other branches of the economy. Fares are the equivalent of 31/2p on bus or Underground for any distance; 3p trolleybus and 21/2p tram.
