Diesel Fuel Additive T ESTS carried out with a new diesel fuel additive intro' duced by Steward and Reid Ltd., are said to have shown improved combustion, reduction of exhaust smoke and an increase in performance—mainly improved fuel consumption. The additive is called Power Pal and it is also claimed to prevent fuel from freezing dowri to —I5°F.
Power Pal is added to fuel at the rate of 2.5 oz. to -20 gal. initially and thereafter at the rate of 1 oz. to 20 gal. For bulk tanks, the rate of addition is 1 gal. to 3,000 gal.

Drawbar Coupling AUNIVERSAL drawbar coupling for trailers up to 10 tons capacity is to be offered for general use by Carter Engineering Co. (Tamworth) Ltd. The coupling is patented and has been fitted to Carter Carveyor car transporters as standard equipment,
The design is said to eliminate any shock between the trailer and towing vehicle and incorporates a foolproof means of locking the pin.
