• The transport of newspapers is expected to be investigated by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission in a year-long probe into the supply of national papers in England and Wales.

The Office of Fair Trading referred the supply of papers by publishers and wholesalers to the MMC last week. The MMC says any investigation into TNT Newsfast and NFC Newsfiow, will "give us an understanding of the whole industry".
