The publication coincides with government plans to encourage firms and employees to contract out of the state earnings related pensions scheme. Decisions companies and employees take to review pension arrangements during the next few months could have a substantial effect on their eventual pensions, according to the publishers. The guide is claimed to provide "unbiased, independent advice and guidance in language everyone can understand, and will help the self-employed as well as employees.
