Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Northern enthusiasts for models (no, not that kind) will have a field day on May 5 when the 16th Manchester Model Bus Competition and Display will be held at the Milton Hall, Deansgate, Manchester, from 10am until 5.30pm. They will see about 400 exhibits in 11 classes, including trams and trollybuses, mainly to 4mm and 2mm scales but some larger.

B. W. Riven, the show coordinator, tells me that the standard rises every year and that the judges' task becomes progressively harder. Detail is, of course, the aspect to which they pay most attention. Particular credit must go to disabled modellers. One specialises in pre-war and early post-war trucks. Another builds buses.

I can think of many worse things to do on a bank holiday weekend (which will probably be wet) than to spend 30p (15p for children and pensioners) to admire the dexterity and patience of dedicated model makers.
