Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

From our Industrial Correspondent

BY an overwhelming majority a delegate conference of busmen from L.T.E. garages decided this week to accept London Transport's amended offer of higher pay.

Central London and Green Line drivers and conductors will now get an extra 6s. 6d. a week, backdated to the beginning of this month. There are lesser increases for country bus drivers and conductors and maintenance men.

But London Transport are still, facing trouble over their three per cent, pay offer to men working in bus workshops. This would give the 5.000 men concerned a rise of between 5s. and 6s. a week. Union leaders have voted against acceptance and will go back to the L.T.E. in an effort to get an improvement.
