• The R HA has asked local authorities through the MoT to check that arrangements for switching on street lighting have been adjusted to take account of British Standard Time. There were failures in various parts of the country to make the necessary adjustments last winter.
The Association reminds all road users of the need to check vehicle lights particularly carefully at this time when the nights are growing longer.
