• Following a Press report last week that police intended to impose a ban on 36ft attics and coaches in London, a spokesman for Scotland Yard told CM on Wednesday that -no suggestions have been made by us to any outside body". He was referring to the GLC's traffic management committee to whom the proposals would have to be put.
Tne RHA told CM that it had no knowledge of any such ban and was not prepared to take a newspaper report as a source of protest.
