TOLLS for crossing the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge are to go up next month.

Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Kenneth Clarke has approved the application by Cleveland County Council and the new charges will come into effect on November 5, replacing the current tolls that were introduced in August 1977.
