Officials of the firm have visited the Province to inspect locations which would • be suitable for the construction and manning of a large factory. -Among the areas inspected by Michelin representatives is Hydepark, on the northern fringe of Belfast. A survey is also believed to have been made at Londonderry, where the Dunlop Cotton Mill makes fabrics for tyre manufacture.
Michelin recently built a tyre depot in Limestone Road, Belfast, described as "purely a Northern Ireland distribution centre for products from our Stoke-onTrent factory,"
