Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

logbooks to buy their products. This involves four daily logsheets being printed to the first page of the book and three logsheets and a weekly report on the second page. The individual logsheets are not perforated, so it would be difficult for a driver to hand in his logsheet after each day's work, as is the normal practice. But is it not a statutory requirement that the logsheet should be handed in daily?

AAlthough the use of the EEC-type record book became compulsory at the beginning of this month, the regulations which cover the return and preservation of records remain subject to the provisions of the Drivers' Hours (Goods Vehicles) (Keeping of Records) Regulations 1970.

Regulation 5 (8) stipulates that an employee driver shall, within seven days of any record sheet being completed in his current driver's record book, detach it from that book and forthwith deliver it to the employer who issued that book to him.

Therefore, provided all four (or three) daily sheets are delivered to an employer together, no later than seven days after the first is completed, the regulations will be complied with.
