duty tipper bodies
• Neville Truck Equipment Ltd of Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Notts, has announced a new range of tipper bodies designed to cater for heavy-duty applications at up to 24 tons gcw on six-wheel chassis and 30 tons gew on eight-wheel chassis. Weight has been saved wherever possible to produce low tare: for example. the 14 cu yd body weighs 27161b including cab-shield and heavy-duty tailgate. It is built throughout in 10 swg steel measuring 18ft 6in. long by 7ft 2in. interior width, with 3ft sides.
The same design of body for rigids is offered in aluminium alloy, built throughout in ain. material. Weight saved in alloy is 11431b. Body tare in alloy, including cab-guard and heavy-duty tailgate is 15731b.
Standard NTE body dimensions are:— lengths: 10ft 6in. to 2811 6in. in 12in. increments; heights: 211 to 6ft in 6in. increments; widths: 711 2in. or 7ft 7in. clear inside.
The body is of "clean bore" profile with 10in, radius all round to give clean discharge.
