REGISTRATIQNS of new vehicles, other than cars and motorcycles, rose from 9,984 in August to 12,954 during September. The biggest single rise was under "other goods," which showed an increase of 2,447. Hackneys

increased from 259 to 469. There were rises in all categories excepting " showmen's" and " local authorities."
