Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ALTHOUGH THE NEW WorkingTime Directive has been covered a great deal in CM, the one aspect I have not seen specifically mentioned is the possible effect of double manning done under the existing EU Driving Rules.

As you will know, the maximum time working is 22 hours out of 30, with a minimum eight-hour rest period after that. But what happens to drivers on long international journeys who may need to do three or even four stints of double manning in succession? Once their 48 hours is up do they have a weekly rest period before finishing the job? Obviously this situation does not apply to everyone, but it needs to be properly clarified.

Thankfully]. am retiring, but I will still read CM each week as! have done for many years and I look forward to seeing responses to this question.
