• BOC Distribution Services was last week praised for its "good profit performance" and its promising prospects for the six months at the end of March this year.
The distribution company, which forms part of BOC's vacuum and distribution sector, was hailed by parent company BOC Group as bringing in a "particularly good result", despite tough market conditions which had restrained margins.
The vacuum and distribution sector made an operating profit of £24.8 million—more than doubling the £11.9m made on the same period last year. Turnover rose to £208.6m from last year's £164.3m.
