• Arthur Monk Car Cruises has taken delivery of an Optare StarRider Coach Special to complete its 23-vehicle fleet. Monk, of Park Royal in west London, opted for the Mercedes-Benz 811D-chassised 29-seater.

The interior specification includes full-length luggage racks fitted with forced air ventilation outlets and individual reading lamps; tinted windows, threeway lift-up roof ventilators; a Blaupunkt radio cassette with public address system (the driver's own speaker has a separate volume control) and a courier microphone point.

Optare claims the rear luggage compartment is the largest of any midi on the market. Themialwerke underseat convector heating systems are fitted in the saloon.
