• A mobile exhibition with £25,000 worth of electronic equipment produced by Redifon Telecommunications is currently making a 5000-mile tour of Europe.
The 10 tons gross unit consist of a Ford DA 1007 tractor with a semi-trailer bodied by Contact Ltd, of Poole, Dorset. In addition to the 3 tons of electrical gear the vehicle has a conference lounge, film slide equipment, a full range of standby power and doors which, at its rear and on one side, provide walkthrough facilities.
Starting from the premises of the supplier, Allan Taylor (Motors) Ltd, High Street, Wandsworth, London SW18, the tour is embracing France, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, West and East Germany and Poland and will include the Poznan Trade Fair,
On returning to the UK the outfit will undertake a one-month tour of Britain with appearances at the Farnborough Air Show and the Scottish Fisheries exhibition in Aberdeen. In the early winter it will make a second European visit to France and Italy.
